Roberts & Stevens is proud to sponsor Pisgah Legal Services’ 5th Annual Poverty Forum: Getting Upstream of Poverty, featuring Dr. Rishi Manchanda, an “upstreamist” physician and public health innovator, on Wednesday, October 14, at the Diana Wortham Theater. Dr. Manchanda will be the keynote speaker of this community conversation about the relationship between health and poverty, and what we can do as a community to affect change. He focuses on improving primary care, the social and environmental conditions that make people sick, and health and human rights. He is also the author of “The Upstream Doctors.” Last year, Dr. Manchanda was chosen by The Atlantic magazine as one of 20 leading health care innovators in the U.S.
Roberts & Stevens’ attorney Ann-Patton Hornthal serves on the Board of Pisgah Legal Services, a nonprofit that provides free civil legal aid to the most vulnerable people in WNC: disadvantaged children, seniors, at risk families and domestic violence victims.
