Biography

Kevin Kopp is a partner at Roberts & Stevens where he practices exclusively in the area of labor and employment law. He received his B.S. from Appalachian State University in 1994 and attended law school at Seton Hall University where he earned his J.D. in 1998. Kevin's practice involves advising businesses and human resources professionals concerning compliance with the myriad of laws affecting the workplace, and defending businesses against all types of employee complaints and lawsuits in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. From hiring to firing and everything in between, Kevin works closely with clients to prevent problems before they occur, but always stands ready protect his clients' interests when problems do arise.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Kevin's legal career began in New York City, where he gained several years of labor and employment experience representing employers from a wide array of industries, including a number of Fortune 500 companies. In 2003, Kevin came home to Asheville and joined Roberts & Stevens. Since that time, he has had the opportunity to work with clients from a diverse array of local businesses, operating across a broad range of industries in the community.

Kevin is a member of the adjunct faculty of Western Carolina University, where he teaches a course on employment law in the Master's in Human Resources Program. In 2010 and 2011, he was selected for inclusion in North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine in the area of employment and labor law.
