Biography
Mark Kurdys has successfully litigated thousands of cases, tried hundreds and managed dozens of appeals throughout his 29-year career. He practiced in Detroit, Michigan and Charlotte, North Carolina before joining Roberts & Stevens in 2000. His focus is complex commercial/business litigation, medical and other professional liability, product liability, transportation, insurance coverage and catastrophic personal injury cases. One of Mark's most notable malpractice cases was on behalf of a hospital and involved six years of litigation, two lawsuits and two appeals. The jury ultimately awarded one dollar to the plaintiff, who filed an appeal. The Court of Appeals reversed the one dollar judgment.
Mark is also a Certified Mediator, mediating cases for other lawyers and their clients. As a business litigator, Mark helps clients seek commercial solutions to disputes and seek negotiated resolutions when in the best interest of his clients. He is a past Director and the current Secretary of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. Mark is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Women In Practice Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association.
