Steve has experience in representing diverse clients ranging from large national corporations to private individuals. Over the course of his young career, he has litigated hundreds of cases in both federal and state courts in North Carolina and New Mexico to favorable outcomes for his clients, including jury trials, administrative hearings and appeals.
Steve is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, and is an ongoing contributor to Pisgah Legal Services Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyer program. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, and will serve as Co-Chair of the YLD's Community Relations Committee beginning in July of 2011.
Like many of the firm's seasoned shareholders, Steve comes from a family of North Carolina legal professionals. He was born in Fletcher and raised in Fairview, just outside of Asheville. Upon graduation from law school in New Mexico, Steve practiced law in a respected litigation defense firm in Albuquerque. After the birth of his daughter, he and his wife made the easy choice of returning to Steve’s home town and settling down in the Asheville area to raise a family. Steve, his wife and his daughter currently reside on a small farm in Madison County.
