Marc
Rudow
Marc
Rudow practices commercial and residential real estate law, land
conservation, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, and estate planning.
Marc's clients range from large business
enterprises to
first
time home buyers who need a patient and trusted advisor. Marc's real
estate practice includes every detail of a real estate transaction from
the
initial contract through due diligence to closing. He is
responsive
to client concerns and questions, working to make transactions run as
smoothly
as possible. He also currently serves as a Chapter
7 Bankruptcy Trustee and is often involved in workouts and
loan
modifications in connection with his Chapter 7 caseload as well as his
creditor
representation. Marc's bankruptcy and real estate experience combine to
allow him to deal with all aspects of real estate in a
troubled
but
improving economy.
Marc
works with the land trust community in many capacities and is
very
familiar with all of the organizations that are dedicated to
protect
land in NC. Marc is professional, yet friendly, and has
cultivated
long term relationships in the Asheville area for over 35 years which
help him
better serve his clients.
Marc
was born in New York City, but has lived in Asheville since 1974 and
has been with this firm or its predecessor for over 30 years.
He has
been an active member of the community, chairing a number of
non-profit
boards
both locally and statewide. Marc also works with many non-profit
organizations
as a volunteer, board member, and attorney, often providing legal
services at a
reduced rate. He is an avid conservationist, musician, biker, and
hiker. He graduated from UNC Law School in 1979 and is married
to Deborah
Miles, Director of the Center for Diversity Education at UNC-Asheville,
