Stephen

Steve
Cash, an associate attorney at
Roberts & Stevens, represents clients in complex litigation
matters
covering a broad range of areas, including Commercial Litigation,
Personal
Injury, Construction Law, Creditor’s Rights, Civil Rights, Professional
Negligence, Medical Malpractice, and has recently expanded his practice
to
include blue collar and white collar Criminal Defense. Steve has
experience in representing diverse
clients ranging from large national corporations to private
individuals. Over the course of his young career, he has
litigated hundreds of cases in both federal and state courts in North
Carolina and New Mexico to favorable outcomes for his clients,
including jury
trials, administrative hearings and appeals.
Steve is a member of the North
Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, and is an ongoing
contributor to Pisgah Legal Services Mountain Area Volunteer Lawyer
program. He is a
member of the North Carolina Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division,
and will
serve as Co-Chair of the YLD's Community Relations Committee beginning
in July
of 2011.
Like many of the firm's seasoned
shareholders, Steve comes from a family of North Carolina legal
professionals. He was born in Fletcher and raised in
Fairview, just outside of Asheville. Upon graduation from law school in
New Mexico, Steve practiced law in a
respected litigation defense firm in Albuquerque. After the birth of
his
daughter, he and his wife made the easy choice of returning to Steve’s
home town and
settling down in the Asheville area to raise a family. Steve, his wife
and his
daughter currently reside on a small farm in Madison County.

municipalities and governmental organizations in
Civil Rights actions in both state and federal courts.
Secured over a million dollars in
judgments for numerous national and local lenders
as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in judgments for money owed
to
local businesses.
Successfully
litigated numerous matters on behalf of individuals and local
businesses in a wide variety of disputes such as breach of contract,
unfair and
deceptive trade practices, equitable claims, negligence, and alienation
of affections,
throughout Western North Carolina.
Representation
of physicians, appraisers, and other learned professionals with
positive outcomes in professional liability
actions. Represented
local school districts and law enforcement on appeals to the New Mexico
Supreme Court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Successfully
defended one of the region's largest employers in a proposed class
action.
