Title Searcher
Asheville Law Firm with a thriving residential and commercial real estate practice seeks a full-time title searcher to join its team. Candidate must be a critical thinker with attention to detail, strong research and problem solving abilities, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to work independently but also be a team player. This role requires some travel to/from courthouses and tax offices.
- Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Search real estate, court and tax records.
- Examine deeds, deeds of trust, restrictions, easements, plats, liens, judgments, and other items affecting title to land to determine ownership, encumbrances and to verify legal descriptions of property.
- Analyze chain of title and preparation of reports outlining title-related matters.
- Accurately read and draw property legal descriptions.
