Healthcare Litigation Associate Attorney
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our healthcare litigation team, with particular interest in candidates with litigation experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work on diverse legal matters while contributing to our clients’ success. Strong candidates will have 1-3 years of litigation experience.
Duties
- Conduct legal research.
- Draft and review legal documents.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters, including medical malpractice, commercial and business litigation, insurance defense and product liability.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate legal advice.
- Assist clients with various legal issues ensuring clear communication and understanding.
- Participate in client meetings and consultations to gather information and discuss case strategies.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies.
- Appear at depositions, hearings and trials in support of client’s legal position.
Requirements
- A JD from an ABA accredited law school with a license to practice law in North Carolina or admission pending to the NC Bar are required.
- Strong skills in legal research and legal drafting with a focus on litigation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive legal research.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and representation.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
