essful Aging conference at the Reuter Center (home of OLLI) at UNC Asheville on Wednesday, September 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This daylong event for older adults, caregivers, and anyone interested in aging successfully benefits the Council on Aging of Buncombe County, a local non-profit helping adults age with choice since 1964. Breakout sessions focus on health, wellness, and various topics relating to aging, including a discussion of estate planning basics with attorney Mary Robinson.
Gregg Levoy, author of Vital Signs: Discovering and Sustaining Your Passion for Life and bestseller Callings: Finding and Following an Authentic Life, is the keynote speaker. He has Keynoted at the National Conference on Positive Aging, the Smithsonian Institution, Environmental Protection Agency, Microsoft, American Counseling Association, National Career Development Association, and others, and been a frequent guest of the media, including ABC-TV, CNN, NPR and PBS.
