Caroline R. Poteat
Caroline Poteat is an attorney at Roberts & Stevens whose practice focuses on a variety of civil litigation matters. She brings more than a decade of professional experience in nonprofit leadership, land conservation, and community development in Western North Carolina.
Caroline graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she concentrated on environmental, land use, and municipal law. She also holds master’s degrees in geography and Appalachian studies from Appalachian State University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from American University. Prior to law school, Caroline served as director of development for Blue Ridge Conservancy and as executive director of Valle Crucis Community Park.
A Western North Carolina native, Caroline is thrilled to call Asheville home. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and taking in Asheville’s live music scene with her partner.
