Roberts & Stevens announces attorneys Phillip T. Jackson and James W.K. Wilde to join the firm

The law firm of Roberts & Stevens is pleased to announce that attorneys Phillip T. Jackson and James W. K. Wilde, of the Dameron Burgin Law Firm, will be joining the firm on January 1, 2013.

Jackson and Wilde currently practice law at the Dameron Burgin Law Firm in Marion, NC. They will be joining the litigation group at Roberts & Stevens to focus on a variety of civil litigation matters including medical malpractice defense, commercial and business litigation, insurance defense and products liability.

Jackson, a partner with Dameron Burgin, is originally from Hendersonville, NC. He has practiced law in Marion, NC since 2001. Prior to joining Dameron Burgin, Jackson worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the North Carolina Department of Justice. He has represented clients before the North Carolina Superior Court Division, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, the United States Federal District Court in the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jackson has been an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association since 1994 and currently serves as a member of the Litigation Council and Co-Chair of the Litigation Council Legislative Committee. He has also been an active member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, where he currently serves as Chair of the Medical Malpractice Practice Group and is a past member of the Board of Directors. Jackson is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the North Carolina Chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

Wilde, a partner with Dameron Burgin, has practiced law in Marion, NC since 2007. He has 21 years of experience representing hospitals, doctors, nursing homes, and psychiatric facilities in medical malpractice defense litigation. Wilde, who is also licensed to practice law in Texas, is an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. Wilde is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, the Defense Research Institute, North Carolina and Texas State Bars, the Houston Bar Association, Fellow Texas Bar Foundation, the Houston Medical Legal Society, and the Greater Houston Society of Health Risk Managers.
