Roberts & Stevens partner Susan Russo Klein becomes president of the Buncombe County Bar

Roberts & Stevens is pleased to announce that attorney Susan Russo Klein, a partner with the firm, has been named president of the Buncombe County Bar for the 2025-2026 term.

The Buncombe County Bar serves as the mandatory local Bar for the more than 800 attorneys practicing in the county. Officers of the Bar are elected by the attorneys to provide leadership for the organization and represent its members.

“The Buncombe County Bar is widely known for its professionalism and collegiality, values that are essential to the practice of law and the trust the public places in us,” Russo Klein said. “I’m honored to have been elected by local attorneys to serve our community.”

With the firm since 2019, Russo Klein advises organizations of all sizes on complex employment issues, from training and compliance to defending labor audits and discrimination complaints. Her business experience includes negotiating and drafting contracts, including service agreements, commercial leases and acquisitions.

A resident of Asheville for more than 25 years, she is an active member of the Buncombe County community, regularly volunteering her legal services through local pro-bono organizations and serving on numerous boards in the area, including the Greater Asheville Regional Authority Board.
