Jordan P. Barnette is an attorney at Roberts & Stevens who represents and advises healthcare sector clients and other businesses on litigation, risk, and regulatory matters. He serves as defense counsel for healthcare providers and hospital systems in suits for medical malpractice and other liability matters. He also represents physicians and other professionals in responding to licensing board complaints and advises on HIPAA compliance as well as other federal and state privacy and mandatory reporting laws.
Jordan has a particular interest in representing mental health facilities and providers, having worked in an acute psychiatric hospital before attending law school. Jordan understands that legal issues are involved in nearly every aspect of care and operations for the health care industry.
Jordan received his undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University in nearby Johnson City, Tennessee. He graduated from Wake Forest School of Law in 2018 and recently relocated to East Asheville with his family.
