
Jordan P. Barnette
Jordan P. Barnette is an attorney at Roberts & Stevens whose practice focuses on medical malpractice and healthcare liability.
He has served as defense counsel for healthcare providers and major hospital systems that have been sued for medical malpractice and other general liability. He has advised healthcare clients on federal and state privacy laws, as well as on legal issues regarding COVID-19. Having worked as a counselor in an acute psychiatric hospital, Jordan understands that legal issues are involved in nearly every aspect of care and operations.
Jordan also assists North Carolina seniors with advance directives and other end-of-life planning. He has previously represented clients in housing, social security disability, and consumer protection matters.
Jordan graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he was named a Marvin K. Blount Law Scholar. He was a founding member and class representative for the Wake Forest chapter of the American Constitution Society. He relocated to Asheville in 2022 with his family from nearby Johnson City, Tennessee.
