Real Estate, Development, Land Trusts & Conservation

The Roberts & Stevens’ Real Estate Law attorneys offer comprehensive services in the areas of commercial and residential real estate acquisition, leasing and selling; land use planning; financing; and real property development.

For commercial development, our attorneys provide advice and counsel on all types of projects and transactions, from acquisition and sale of existing properties to development, construction, operation, and management of complex multi-use projects. We assist clients with entity selection, formation and taxation. In addition, the Real Estate Law Team regularly draws on the experience and counsel of other attorneys in the firm who have experience in tax law, corporate finance, and environmental law, so that our clients’ real estate transactions are handled efficiently.

Our attorneys work with environmental organizations as counselors and serve on the boards of directors in leadership positions to assist in the daily operations of land protection and fundraising for these organizations. We handle title searches and closings for conservation easements and work with state and federal governments in connection with the funding and transfer of easements and conservation property in fee simple. Finally, in the event that the easement terms are violated, we represent clients in court to pursue and require the enforcement of conservation easements.

Our Real Estate attorneys also have broad experience litigating real estate disputes, including those involving title problems, real covenants and easements, commercial landlord-tenant relationships, development and construction contracts, foreclosures, receivership, condemnation and eminent domain, and bankruptcy. At Roberts & Stevens, our attorneys pride themselves on providing our clients with quality work and responsive personalized service that has allowed us to meet all of our clients’ needs.
